Landscaping Services in Aylsham

Seven kinds of outdoor work, from a new patio or fence line to clearing a garden that has got away from you. Every photo on this page is one of our own jobs.

Patios & Paving in Aylsham

A patio is usually the part of the garden that gets used the most, so it is worth getting the groundwork right. We dig out, lay a compacted base and set the slabs to a fall so rainwater runs away from the house, not towards it.

We lay patios, garden paths and paved front gardens in Aylsham and across Norfolk, in the slab and joint style you choose. That includes open gravel joints like the job pictured, which drain freely and suit a cottage-style garden.

  • Patios and seating areas
  • Garden and front paths
  • Sett and cobble edging and thresholds
  • Lifting and replacing old, uneven paving

Good to know: Thinking about a patio? Measure the space roughly and note where the manhole covers and downpipes are. It helps us give you a sensible idea of what is involved when you call.

Fencing & Gates in Aylsham

Fencing is listed on our van and makes up a good share of our work. We replace tired or storm-damaged runs and put up new boundaries from scratch, on timber or concrete posts with gravel boards to keep the timber off the soil.

Our own photos show the range: closeboard and feather-edge garden fencing, post and rail around paddocks and field edges, low picket fencing for front gardens and gates to match.

  • Closeboard and feather-edge fencing
  • Panel fencing on concrete or timber posts
  • Post and rail and field fencing
  • Picket fencing, side gates and garden gates

Good to know: Not sure whose fence it is? Your title deeds normally show boundary responsibility with a small T mark. It is worth a quick word with the neighbour before any work starts.

Turfing & Lawns in Aylsham

A new lawn is only as good as the ground under it. We clear the old surface, level and rake the soil and lay fresh turf with tight, staggered joints so it knits together quickly.

Where a real lawn struggles, such as heavy shade or a garden shared with dogs, artificial grass on a firm, free-draining base is an option we can talk through.

  • Old lawn and weeds stripped out
  • Ground levelled and prepared
  • Fresh turf laid and edged
  • Artificial grass as a low-upkeep alternative

Good to know: New turf needs watering every day for the first couple of weeks in dry weather, and it is best kept off until it has rooted. Autumn and spring are the easiest times to lay it.

Garden Makeovers in Aylsham

Some gardens need more than one fix. A makeover brings the separate trades together, so the paving, the gravel, the edging and the lawn are planned as one layout and built in the right order.

The garden pictured went from broken paving and bare ground to a paved seating area, golden gravel, a sleeper-edged raised bed and fresh turf. You can see the before photo on our home page.

  • Gravel and shingle areas on membrane
  • Timber sleeper edging and raised beds
  • New paving and lawn in one visit
  • Low-upkeep layouts for busy households and landlords

Good to know: Bring a rough idea of how you want to use the garden: somewhere to sit, room for children or pets, less mowing. The layout follows from that.

Garden Clearance in Aylsham

Brambles over the shed, a lawn you can no longer find, a garden full of what the last owner left behind. We cut it back, dig it out and clear it to bare ground so you can see what you have.

We take the waste from the job away with us, and Asbe-bloom is registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier. Clearance is often the first step before fencing, turf or a patio, and we can carry straight on.

  • Overgrowth, brambles and self-set trees cut back
  • Old sheds, rubble and rubbish removed
  • Ground left clear and level
  • Ready for landscaping to follow

Good to know: Clearing a garden for a house sale or a new tenancy? Tell us the date you are working to when you get in touch.

Grass & Hedge Cutting in Aylsham

Grass cutting, hedge cutting and outside maintenance are all sign-written on our van, because keeping a garden in shape matters as much as building it.

We cut lawns and trim hedges for homeowners, landlords and anyone who would rather not spend the weekend doing it. Ask about a single visit to get on top of things or regular upkeep through the growing season.

  • Lawn mowing and edging
  • Hedge trimming and shaping
  • General outside maintenance
  • One-off tidy-ups or regular visits

Good to know: Hedges are best left alone during the main bird nesting season, roughly March to August, unless you are sure nothing is nesting. A late-summer cut keeps most hedges tidy through winter.

Garage & Shed Removal in Aylsham

Many older garages and sheds in Norfolk have corrugated asbestos cement roofs. They are best not broken up or left to crumble, which is why people call us rather than tackle them with a sledgehammer.

Asbestos work is part of what we do, alongside garden landscaping. We take the building down, remove the sheets and panels and leave the base clear, so the space can become a patio, a lawn or a new building.

  • Sectional concrete garages dismantled
  • Asbestos cement roof sheets removed
  • Sheds and outbuildings taken down
  • Base left clear for what comes next

Good to know: If you think a roof or panel contains asbestos, do not drill, cut or snap it. Leave it as it is and ask us how we would handle and dispose of it.

Not sure which service you need?

Describe the job and we will tell you how we would tackle it. Call 07730 186090 or send the form.
